The last two years have been really tough, but we got back the House of Representatives. Please keep the faith alive. Each of you kept me alive and sane during these last two years of extreme insanity.

Let's all remember the great things about our country and ourselves. Mahatma Gandhi said this about all of us:

“When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love has always won. There have been tyrants and murderers and for a time they seem invincible but in the end, they always fall – think of it – always.”

The Blackeyed Peas and Justin Timberlake also said this in 2003, and they (and the Dixie Chicks) were about the only mainstream artists decrying the second Gulf War. These words still ring very true today.

I feel the weight of the world on my shoulder
As I'm getting older, y'all people gets colder
Most of us only care about money-makin'
Selfishness got us followin' the wrong direction
Wrong information always shown by the media
Negative images is the main criteria
Infecting the young minds faster than bacteria
Kids wanna act like what they see in the cinema
Whatever happened to the values of humanity?
Whatever happened to the fairness and equality?
Instead of spreadin' love we spreadin' animosity
Lack of understandin' leading us away from unity
That's the reason why sometimes I'm feelin' under
That's the reason why sometimes I'm feelin' down
It's no wonder why sometimes I'm feelin' under
Gotta keep my faith alive 'til love is found
Now ask yourself…
Where is the love?
Where is the love?
Where is the love?
Where is the love?
Father, father, father, help us
Send some guidance from above
These people got me, got me questionin'
Where is the love?

Listen to these lyrics and tell me if they are still relevant today. I submit that they are.

Peace and love, my friends! I'm not feelin' down and I ain't feelin' under because of each of you. Here's to 2019!

And not that we all always agree on everything - not at all.

It's that there so many witty, insightful people here, and that there's always so many worthwhile news and thoughts being shared at any given moment.

I learn something new everyday here, and I think most will say the same.

Thanks for sharing that, DonaldsRump. Very prescient in these challenging times.

Happy New Year and All the Best to you and yours.
