Picture this guy in his 70s with that thing still on the back of his skull. Not a pretty sight.

These kids today...

Hi,
I wonder about that with a lot of ink, ones that aren't nearly as "exreme" as this one. Art on saggy, wrinkly, aging skin, kind of loses the appeal to me.

Peace

so "yesterday..."

May I ask, though? While I understand the large bore washer-like piercings in the ears are reminiscent of indigenous tribes in the rainforest regions of the developing world and elsewhere, but how did they get so popular here? And, damn, don't they hurt? Well, I guess there will be a boon for plastic reconstructive surgeons some day....

To each his own...

I'd wind up standing behind this creature in the supermarket checkout line -- the Saturday afternoon before Superbowl.

He got shot in real life and most of his brains were removed from his head.

Then he got healed up.

Mostly.

With the limited brains he had left, he decided that this would be a good tatoo.

And that it would cover up the scar from the surgery, while making the point that, "Hey... I got shot in the head and you should see what it looked like".

It's all kinda self explanatory the way I see it.

not really into tats, but that is kind of cool - I mean if you are going to do it - at least it isn't some generic rose and cross off the sample wall.

At least those of us who followed bad fads in the 1970s could get better haircuts, ditch the horrible clothes and deny it ever happened. In those days the only people with visible tattoos were sailors, bikers and guys who had done hard prison time.

Why someone would permanently put on their body a piece of "art" they would never willingly hang on their wall will always remain a mystery to me.

And, as pointed out above, that is gonna look really "cool" when he's 70 and bald.

If I had venture capital to play with I would invest a good-sized chunk in restorative plastic surgery/tattoo removal clinics.
