Safari is my least favorite. On my iPad, it crashes, is hard to type on, and has no flash player capability. I often have to correct posts later when I'm using it.

(65,169 posts)Firefox is my fav. Any better browser for IPad?
Hi, NYC_SKP!
Howadoin?
I never thought about better browsers for iPad.... and I have them, I figured I was stuck with Safari.
Anyway, I've found that Safari takes too long to process things, so usually use Firefox.
I do, however, like that PDFs open in Safari, saves my harddrive from wasting space and it's one less app running.
In fact, I run Sea Monkey, Firefox, and Safari and on most units have open windows for all.
Sea Monkey for it's email server (formerly Netscape); Safari because of the PDF function; Firefox because I like their adblocker and such.

(65,169 posts)Is Firefox available in the app store? I have tried Opera for iPad and didn't like it.

I've looked at Google Chrome, but I don't like the way it doesn't have a status bar on the bottom of the page.
I use Firefox pretty much exclusively.

2nd: IE8. It used to be my browser of choice, but these days more and more sites don't get along with it, and they don't make IE9 for Windows XP.
I'm going to have to start using Firefox more...

(6,145 posts)I can be in the middle of work with time deadlines and suddenly everything just slows down to a crawl as Chrome seems to take over my computer for five or ten minutes without my permission to update itself.
I really love Chrome but I've been bothered by some of the liberties Google takes.

Safari, because it does nothing special.
Chrome, because it's Google and wants to sell your soul to someone else.

(30,947 posts)I normally use Safari, but had to download Firefox because all of a sudden I could not access my e-mail from Comcast. I called Comcast tech person and he told to use Firefox.
