Two things happen to me every day and I don't know why

(No, I'm not asking for medical advice. I'm sure some of you have some ideas and I'm happy to hear them, but I won't take them as truths.)

1)Every morning after I eat brekkie, I feel like I could go back to bed. It happens no matter what I eat, and no matter how much I eat.

2)Every night when I lay down in bed, I get a hot flash within 5 minutes.

Without fail--every day.

Hot flashes can be triggered by anything that makes your body warm: hot weather, hot drinks, okaawhatever Feb 2019 #7

make one's body produce serotonin and that's what causes sleepiness after eating.

I recognize that the sugar makes me feel lousy--not just sleepy, but lousy.

I don't get the sleepiness after lunch or dinner, just brekkie.

exercise, etc. If you put on warm clothes and/or warm covers for bed this may cause your body temp to rise and trigger a flash. Also, if you have a non-natural fiber nightgown or bed linens this may add to the problem as those fabrics don't breathe so you can't release body heat as quickly.

A shower before bed may also trigger a hotflash (for the same reason).

Just a little tip from experience
