Just a Golden being a Golden. Most human dog you can have. He sees you on the treadmill, he’s going to try it for himself first chance he gets.

I have a friend who has a cocker spaniel named Lily who excercises on a treadmill every day after her mom gets off of it. Joann says “Lily, get on your walk!” Lily jumps on and does 20 minutes. We have 3 feet of snow here now...Lily couldn’t get much walking outside even if she wanted to.

I have working dogs and do lots of training. Retrieves, bite work, etc. 20 minutes on the treadmill before we start helps lower their energy a bit so they focus better. Taking them on a run is counter productive because they start hunting and become stimulated.

The treadmill is good, but that dog should have been supervised
