at the indoor track at the gym.
I'm an old fart and tripped over my own feet and did a face plant on the floor. Got up to keep running and noticed that both shoes came off.
A couple of kids playing basketball came over to see if I was OK and I said "did you see that, I ran out of my shoes?"

(32,673 posts)said I would never run again because of my knee. Found that if I keep my miles at 12 minutes or more I have no problem.

(14,012 posts)fell forward things went into slow motion (as you hear they do) I tucked my head, leaned my shoulder and did a full tumbling summersault and came up hands in the air that I hoped would look like a gymnast finishing an intentional routine. There was a group of teenagers across the street who had witnessed what almost was going to end badly...and they cheered when I popped up, giving me imaginary judges scores of 10s. It was only at that moment I realized I was bleeding profusely from my hand. Apparently I had dragged it down the edge of a low street sign as I fell and nearly sliced it wide open.
But hey, I went out in style!
Gravity is ALWAYS waiting to get you!
I hope you've recovered from your fall!

Peace, love and rock n' roll y'all...
