I've been a member of a dream discussion group for 11 years. I currently have 652 dreams written down.

but they are often disturbing in that I feel like my mind is so active during the night. Do you have a link to the group? Why do some of us dream more vividly than others? I don't know why I have these dreams, but it kind of disturbs me in that I rarely feel rested when I wake up. I sometimes wish I could just go to sleep and not remember a thing when I wake up.

We meet in the home of one of the members twice a month.

I love dreaming. I also love sleeping. If it were up to me, that's all I would do with my life....

it's not a general dream blog. It's about a long series of 15 dreams about UFOs that I had in 2007.

I'm thinking about making a general dream blog.

Mine are similar to yours in that they are so strange and don't seem to make any sense, although there are some recurring themes. The detail is amazing. They kind of haunt me. Most of the time I just wish I didn't have them.

is that there are many recurring themes in our dreams: symbols, places, landscapes, the people we meet in them. Sometimes we borrow these images from each other. We've also tried to "meet up" in a dream, and have come close on a couple of occasions.

i have really weird dreams, too. my childhood home is a common setting, tho it is weird and full of hidden rooms only accessible through tiny openings.

but i have apnea, and as most people w it can tell you, it creates a certain type of dream- struggle, conflict, being stuck.
running but not getting away, punching people just to have your fist bounce off.
i used to have dreams about my hubs, when we were still married, that were so real, sometimes i would be mad at him all day.

i also have the popular one where all your teeth fall out. i suspect this is because i grind them in my sleep.

dreams are weird and interesting.

Even though she's been dead for 30 years. In the dream, I sort of know she's going to die, and it doesn't seem weird at al.

12. for years after my dad died

he appeared in my dreams. usually as some sort of zombie.
even when he appeared normal, i knew we had buried him.
pretty sure this was guilt. guilt over the relief i felt when he died. he was an alkie who made life pretty miserable. at the same time, i had a soft spot for him that wasnt really shared by my sibs.
so, yeah, awkward comes to "life"
