Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsGave cat tuna two days ago. Made myself tuna yesterday so I had to give
a bit to Captain Morgan for my own safety. Tonight I gave him canned cat food. He will not eat it. He is having a hissy fit. He is attacking my phone. He is knocking everything off the table. He stops every so often to see if I am caving in. Then he attacks again. My only solace is that I'm going out for dinner so maybe by the time I come back he might have forgotten. I did it to myself. Bad cat.
...the tuna with the cat food.

(33,643 posts)Fortunately, they also tend to 'forget' ... reasonably quickly as well ... but a day or two is not enough

(33,643 posts)idiot and steps in the damn wet spot in the clumping litter and gets it stuck on there after he pees.
I'm like DUDE! Why the F*** did you have to step THERE?!? It's not my fault, don't get pissed at me!
Doesn't matter if I use paper towel, baby wipe, regular dry linen towel ... dude gets bent and tries to rip my flesh ...

(118,622 posts)phone when he wants something. He doesn't try to break skin. More of a communication thing to tell me I'm on the wrong track and to correct myself. He does it to his littler sister too if she is curled up beside me when he wants to share the bed with me. He's getting better about that. I guess it is winter so the more warmth on the bed the better. But yeah. He sees himself as the boss.

(33,643 posts)He definitely fancies himself a grumpy old badass that don't take no shit

(118,622 posts)him when he was two and I adopted him then. They said to me as I was leaving..."if it doesn't work out bring him back to us". Turns out he was a biter but was missing some fangs so he could not puncture skin though he would try. He had an anger issue. For no reason he would get mad and it would build. I kept him anyways and he was a loving cat except for those anger moments which became less and less. He'd sleep in my armpit. Miss him.

(33,643 posts)He's actually really gentle but has his pet peeves (LOL) ... dude has never sprayed, and I've had numerous incredulous vets over his lifetime ask me about this. If he HAD ever started, I'd have nipped them nuts so fast. But he didn't. Then again it's always just been him and me and my ex-wife, and a couple male doggo's, so I guess his 'spray' instinct never got triggered.

(118,622 posts)But thanks. He has wet food and dry. He will just have to choose between that.

(17,431 posts)The juice was her's and damn quick if you please! The fish itself was optional.
I was once enticed by an offer of a free bag of tuna. It was vacuum packaging with no liquid. I opened the bag and Razz's keen sense of smell brought her running. She would not believe there was no juice. I gave her tuna, but I was scolded incessantly.
In the interest of domestic tranquility, I put some water in the bag and shook it up. I gave her the water and she drank it after complaining some more. Never again did a bag of tuna come into my home.

(118,622 posts)It is bad for cats. Besides she's not enjoying her expensive wet cat foid as a result.

(17,431 posts)I do limit my intake of canned tuna for the same reasons.
Razz departed this life at 17 years of age in the late '80s. I don't think the weekly tuna juice got her.
