Here is NYC. I just learned that my office will be closed tomorrow because of the ongoing snowstorm. Current forecast is 4 to 8 inches.

Still, I know that houses in Texas and in Southern California are not as insulated as the rest of the country.

Expecting some warmer days later this week. Hope you, too.

We are having an unusually mild winter here.

Look out if you're planning a summer vacation here this year. The mosquitoes will be brutal.

While it's miserable we need a hard freeze to kill the bugs! It's been pretty mild this year in Austin. We DO get some cold weather, just seems a bit late this year!

Farmers are going to have a double whammy, with the lack of rain and the surge in bugs. Monsanto must be loving it, as the movement to ban Roundup will suffer a setback.

It's presently 1 (one) degree F in Boulder County, Colorado right now. Yes, I know you think we're more used to it, although I'm not sure anyone can get used to 1 degree. Do what I do: laptop, bed, four blankets, heating pad on feet; two dogs, one cat beside me.

Still, here's a hug, 'cause I feel you!

I have two dogs and some a few comfy quilts! Heat is set on 68.0. I'll live!

You stay warm! I think I'd curl up in a fetal position with 1 degree! YIKES!

for you to invest in a sweater, a warm robe, some warm slippers, etc.

Even if you only need them every now and then, it can't hurt to have that stuff. You may travel to cooler climates some day.

I'm almost done w/ my latest blanket and it's for sale.... crochet, scrap yarn, granny squares w/ white border. Let me know.
