decided on the day that she might as well take a 3rd, and she got an 800 on it. Depressing!

It wasn't a big deal back then. I was just aiming to get into a community college (though later went to the University of California for my last two years). So no stress over anything. I'm sure I probably did fine; I was an A student, but I just don't remember fretting over what the scores would be.

I don't remember my SAT or my ACT or my IQ. At my age, 67, I'm lucky if I remember my variety of passwords.

With a number 2 pencil of course. I made a swirling pattern on the answer sheet. Then I took a nap.

Complete opposite of my kids & their friends. They know their SAT ACT LSAT - all their scores, and probably all their friends scores too....

the scores for all 3 times I took it. I was disgusted by the first two. Third time I just said, "fine! I'll take it." It still wasn't very good.

and I think they used a different scoring system in those days. It must have been OK because I got into a good liberal arts college, but it's been all downhill from there.

1160 on the SAT. It was horrible! I took it in a college building. Three classrooms full of test takers. About 1/3 of the way through, they told us we could have a five minute break. Well, I knew that five minutes was not enough time to go pee when there were 80 other kids sharing a single bathroom. Plus, we were only 1/3 of the way through; they had to take a longer break midway, right? Wrong! So for the second half of the test I had to pee so bad it was the only thing I could think about.

I'd been a consistent B student but apparently I got the highest SAT score in my school. Pretty much I'd just been doing enough to get by since school didn't challenge me. The school counselor and vice principal were upset I hadn't worked to get higher scores. So I upset them more by asking why school never offered enough to keep me interested.

Nothing is more annoying than being a moderately bright student in the school where Dad had started the Honors Society and my oldest sister had been valedictorian. I'd been compared to them, came up short, and underestimated since elementary school. Screw them - I've had a good and happy life and used more of the information I learned on my own than anything I learned in school or college.

But they were apparently good enough. I was recruited to my undergraduate university through an early admission program when I was a junior in high school. When I went for my masters I got offers from three different schools.

All I remember is that I scored average on math and very high on everything else.
