Much easier to say no to a photo than to an adorable, squirmy little puppy.

5. Not a good way to rehome them

Aside from the fact that it is crucial not to rehome before six weeks, surrendering them for bottom of the barrel prices opens the process up to people who might take them on impulse, not have the resources to care for them, and could even adopt for nefarious purposes. It would be better for her to find a credible grass-roots rescue organization that will evaluate them medically, vet potential homes more thoroughly and with more experience than she can provide.
Some of these organizations throw in a first vet exam, shots, even microchipping as part of the fees. They advertise them properly noting what kind of home they need, meet with potential guardians, offer a grace period so that if the rehome does not work out, the pup can be taken back to the shelter or foster family.
I see you are a dog-lover so I know you care about what happens to this litter. I am a dog- trainer, worked with a rescue shelter and on rescue issues, and unfortunately, have seen some tragedies resulting from informal, on the spot rehomings. This post is not meant to indict the person wanting to get pups a good home, but to say there are better ways.

careful the breeder was in securing the best possible home for the furry bargain basement special. Sigh....
