I finally made the switch to an iPhone

I've been into Apple forever. Learned on a Mac probably 30 years ago. I love all thing Apple and have been a shareholder for a long time. But I figured I only needed a phone to text and make phone calls. My whole family has owned iPhones for ages. But I finally broke down and am using my daughter's old iPhone 6. Pretty amazing little device. My only complaint so far is that my old basic smart phone (an LG) had better sound. The iPhone sounds a bit tinny.

Android allows for "cast to" SmartTV (YouTube), iPhone requires a (bought) app. Am I correct? UTUSN May 2019 #5

Finally like you, broke down and I bought an iphone 6. Still don't use it as much as other folks, but I have sirius xm and use it almost like a pocket radio.

$14 a month. I really just use my phone for safety and communication, texts, etc. that is all I need.

My time on my IPad and Mini.

Since I found Pluto, ( free,) I learned to stream directly into my Smart TV. Once I get a good handle on streaming I am going streaming.

My android lets me put wonderful YouTubes on the t.v. screen, with the phone as the remote. My sister's iPhone won't do it without her spending (which she's not going to do) on the app. She can use the t.v. remote to access YouTube on the screen, but it's way bad navigationally speaking, totally cumbersome pecking letter by letter. I use the android only for small time web surfing, little messaging/email.
