Wild Turkeys Were Out Today

Went on my mountain bike ride. There is a trail called "Wild Turkey", so you kind of expect to see some. Met one dude who said there were a whole bunch. For the entire ride, I didn't see a single turkey. Then on the return leg, 100 yards from the parking lot, there they were. Two or three of them that I could see, maybe more hiding in the grass. I had to ride for two whole hours just to see the wild turkeys so close to the parking lot! I may have to mail in a complaint to the parks department.

Suburban New Haven streets had rafters maybe 15 strong. I was never exactly afraid of them, but I would not want one to pick a fight with me!
