As butter substitutes, I use either Smart Balance Buttery Spread or Pure Blends plant-based butter.

I bought Myokos and it is good but it is really expensive.

I am sure I saw Earth Balance. I will look again.

With a little avocado oil.
Bake at 400 ... 30 minutes then flip for 20-30 more.
Add some fresh rosemary for the last 5 minutes.
Browned and crispy with soft inside.
So much better than fried.

but they set off my hayfever. There are several foods that do that.

But I could eat just a little and that would be ok

I never was much of a meat eater.

I steam veggies every day. And I make a good bean stew.

And I love fruit so I buy big bags of frozen fruit and eat that. Lots of berries because they are so good for you.

I actually am doing the plant based vegan diet. 90 percent if my food is from nutrient dense foods.

After years of being on high BP meds I am now completely off.

Going on a strict plant based diet can turn damage around. Can even turn heart damage around.

I use just a tiny bit of salt and sugar just to flavor stuff a little.

Your body needs a little fat of the right kind.

Earth Balance is our go-to, but there are several other brands as well. I used Nucoa for years because I grew up using it and it’s one of those “accidentally vegan” products.

It's the cheese that gets me. That's why I'm ovo lacto vegetarian. It's a crutch.

Tastes good and melts nicely. There are also some cultured nut cheeses that are pricy but really convincing.

Sometimes I put baked beans mashed up a bit on potatoes. Nutritional yeast works wonders for a lot of foods. I rarely eat oils except for popcorn.
