Spilled hot soup on it and didn't feel it. Still ran cold water on it and it looks OK. But not feeling ANYTHING is scary.

Six years ago I was diagnosed as a Type 2 diabetic... the symptom that made me get checked was the loss of feeling in one foot... and I mean nearly no feeling at all. It was weird and didn't go away in a day so I went to the doctors... and found that I was diabetic.

The bad news is that there isn't much you can do (with this type of neuropathy) except to manage the root cause.

Other types of neuropathy do respond to certain drugs.

Anyway if you a older... or even if not... go to the doctors office and tell him or her about your numbness in your hand... and insist on getting checked for diabetes.

5. My hands are numb

Due to peripheral neuropathy which is from MS.

It comes and goes but at this stage in my life it is there more often rather than not hence the reason people notice that I use a lot of abbreviations, etc. when I type.

It is not so easy any more.

I seriously hope this is not your problem because is seriously sucks!
