themselves 1x per week, though females in heat will usually do so daily.

IT is this once/week "destination" that is often deadly to sloths. My guess is the poor thing was trying to "do its thing"...

What a wonderful gesture of kindness for a poor creature trapped by a highway.......

Good for the guys that stopped traffic, too......
