Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsTrees in London. I was in London last week, and in the city there were a lot of very large trees.
In Kensington Park and also next to sidewalks. They looked very like sycamores. The bark looked as if it were peeling, the leaves were pointy like a sycamore, it even has small balls like a sycamore. But I think it was another kind of tree, because the trunk looked very uneven. Anybody out there know what kind of tree this is?

(37,449 posts)We still have a number around town that haven't been cut down. A few near an 18th century historic site have lots of carving from school romances of the 91th & 20th century. My brother had 2 in his small yard that totally over shadowed his house. He had to take them down because of insurance. It took 2 weeks of climbing and cutting to take them down.
