Mine is 'Company Of Strangers'. 1990. I've cried every time i've seen it. It got 100% at rotten tomatoes.
"SNIP.....
When a tour bus carrying senior women breaks down in rural Quebec, Michelle (Michelle Sweeney) the driver goes out to check the engine and injures her ankle in the process, leaving her -- and the bus -- to be cared for by the elderly passengers. Luckily, among them, there are a lot of practical skills to go around. Catherine (Catherine Roche) is a nun with a working knowledge of mechanics, while Alice (Alice Diabo) is a Native American able to construct traps to catch food.
....SNIP"

(27,813 posts)Not just my fave indie movie, but one of my Top Ten movies of all times.
A beautiful tale of love, lust, secrets revealed and unlikely romantic heroes, masterfully told to the tune of incredible music and dance.
I'll watch yours, if you watch mine.

(27,813 posts)... you won't be disappointed. It's not a per se "romantic" movie. In fact, the subject matter is at times quite disturbing.

(118,624 posts)scripts. It was very natural. And quiet. And moving. It made a small splash in the US at the time. It was huge in canada. I don't think most were professional actors.
