I've booked my next trip: 12 days in Dubai and Oman...

My High School (in Rome) has organized some great travel opportunities for alumni.

I hated Summers there...

Bring cash$$$... Dubai has the best shopping in the world. Sorry, London, Paris, NYC... Nice beaches, and some pretty good food.

The wild places of Oman are interesting and cool. Muscat after UAE was boring after about an hour...

Go dune and/or Wadi bashing, and have some good Arabic food. Go snow skiing in Mall of the Emirates... Go to Dubai Mall, have some Magnolia Banana Pudding, watch the dancing fountains and laser show, visit the aquarium, and take snaps/or go to top of the world's tallest building (that's all in one place and a full day if you shop too, it's huge).
