(2,216 posts)Don't store it in the refrigerator next to the baloney.
I don't know how it happened but it happened, and when we finally dropped that acid....it was a nightmare of a trip.
I can't explain how or why...it just happened that way.
Nix on the baloney+acid. It doesn't mix well.

(102,142 posts)I've had a pretty boring life. Pot in college, a little hashish once, and like most who made it through doctoral/postdoctoral training, a (legal) amphetamine or two.
Fortunately, I never even smoked cigarettes, so my vices remained limited and rarely pursued.
LSD has mainstream uses now, as I suspect you know. It would be interesting, but not sure I'd ever partake. Those of us old enough to know, know you need to trust those around you if you should, though.

(66,294 posts)I do my stepping out alone.
Because whatever I'm on, booze, marijuana, acid, I don't want someone watching me when it gets real.

(16,373 posts)Don't judge, but for some reason, I can only fall asleep while watching true crime shows. Probably why I have such vivid dreams. Early this morning I woke up from a dream where I was being chased by a mass shooter while searching for a can of Cream of Chicken soup I needed to make a casserole.

(57,319 posts)should have gone out LONG ago, doing some handwashing of clothes....
Washing clothes by hand is the Cadillac of laundry. When you wash brightly colored shirts individually, it's like seeing a restored painting for the first time.

(2,947 posts)Sundays are best days to shop in Salt Lake because the Mormons are supposed to be in Church. I'm thinking there is a lot of cheating going on, as they are not supposed to shop on Sunday. Perhaps they had a revelation, because there were tons of people in Costco.

(17,042 posts)Last night was Austin Pride.I have no idea how all those revelers hung out for the parade. At 8:00 PM it was still 93.0 degrees. UGH!
The older I get the more I hate the heat.

(66,294 posts)Up here, 90 degrees is oppressive. The rain and the gray we have the rest of the year are worth it.

(987 posts)Picked 3 quarts of blackberries this morning - the 4th time this season - from my strip of blackberry bushes. Put them in the freezer - blackberry jam later this year. Watered everything because we haven't had rain for weeks. Did a load of laundry and hung it out to dry in the sun. Baked a cherry pie, organized a messy cabinet, grilled a steak for myself and Zeus Dog, and now I am enjoying some mindless TV with a glass of bubbly and a piece of the cherry pie. Life is good.

(66,294 posts)Do you drink champagne regularly, on a casual basis? I've never done that before. I should try it. A champagne buzz is the cleanest, crispest, most fun buzz I've ever had.
zeusdogmom
(987 posts)Usually prosecco vs. champagne or domestic sparkling wine. Alcohol content is lower, less expensive even for good stuff. There is something about pouring a small glass of the bubbly - life is good.
A proper bottle stopper keeps the bubbles intact. If the bottle goes flat, use it in cooking. Try it. Life is too short to save stuff for "special" occasions. That goes for everything. The "good" bottle of wine or distilled spirits. Drink and enjoy. Nice dishes in the cupboard or linens in the drawer? Take them out and use them. The wonderful perfume tucked away? Daily. Nothing worse than cleaning out a loved ones house and finding beautiful things seldom or never used when those items could have brought a little bit of beauty into daily life.

(33,481 posts)...and I'm just experiencing the joy of my sons and my wife, trying to rest up, enjoying my family, reading some inspiring papers, preparing for a phone conference with Asia in the very early morning.
A purely beautiful day.
