I (we?) were fortunate enough to become of age while the 3 best Rock bands of history were at their peak. The Rolling Stones, The Who and The Kinks.
(My list MAY be a little subjective )

The one mega band I never saw was the Beatles. I had tickets to see them here, but they cancelled and didn't reschedule so just got my $$ returned.
I don't have the same list as you, but can agree that all of these were great acts and important bands. At this moment my top 3 would be, Allman Brothers, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Pink Floyd.
