My two guys still sleeping as boog and I checked on them I smile
Having coffee on back porch was up around 04:30 and boog hears me moving and he climbed out of bed with his one brother. Before I head downstairs I look in on our sons , they were sleeping hard we hit it hard fishing yesterday after I got off work . They were out both of them by 8 pm last night sleeping on the couches. My wife said wow you wore them out , as I was waking them up to hit the stairs for bed and boog follows them. Wag wag yea we were fishing hard lady were beat.
We hit this dam yesterday we wade in about seventy feet off the dam. And fish from the shallows, and I usually plant my bum on this rock and sit with my feet in the stream. And my right paw lays down beside me on this flat rock , we’re in overwatch on our boys as we sit and fish.
And I smile watching them standing casting reeling in a lure waiting for a fish to hit ,I think man they’re getting big from pumping iron at the gym. They’re both around five foot ten around 160 in weight. And I’m six foot around maybe 145 wading yesterday out to these islands at stream. I get comments gee dad you have chicken legs as they pass me in stream. Come on dad pick it up your getting slow dude.
A example of why I smile watching them fish maybe twenty feet away. All of a sudden fishing rods are being used as defensive weapons as a water snake swims between the two of them. I looked at boog and asked him, what do you think that snake is thinking boog he’s probably thinking WTF I live here stop attacking me.
Boog - wag wag I’ll be back man I gotta check on my boys.
Another reason I smile is what we wear I usually put on these gym sweats I cut off at knees nylon material they were worn out and a t shirt and old Pair Ozark trail sandals, Not my guys they have to wear jean cargo shorts and like a printed t shirt and I think atika water shoes . I’ll say geez guys it’s not a fashion show, I get replies dad your Appalachian roots are showing. I understand why they do it because other kids swim above the dam ,that they go to school with by kids I meant teenage girls.
I have been counseled by my teenage boys as dad your so embarrassing. One day these girls came down and hung out with us , as I was turning over rocks looking for hellgramites instead of minnow or lures for bait. Dad your Appalachian is showing they told their mom geez mom he is so embarrassing at times. I said kids hellgrammites are nature’s candy to bass why you saw that striper I caught on it.
