But I do not have the keyboard to properly type the word cute so the english version will have to do.

If you want to type "süße Katze" you just hold down the key for the letter you want to modify until the menu comes up, then you click on the modified letter - i.e., hold down the u until you get the menu that includes ü. At least that works on a Mac, not sure about a PC.
