1. It probably will not leave a Frances/Jeanne calling card at my stepmother's.
2 There will NOT be a storm named Dorian in 2025.

(7,153 posts)If it gets far enough north, it will be punted away/out to sea,
But WILL it?

(31,382 posts)The turn north depends upon a low pressure system developing to the west to make it turn north. If that system were developing, you'd think we'd be hearing about it. Instead, all we hear is how unpredictable Dorian has been and how dependent the models are upon data. It sounds like bets being hedged big time.
Also, the western part of the Bahamas is only 50 miles off the coast of Florida. The current tropical storm winds are 140 miles out from the center of the hurricane.
If it doesn't turn by the time it hits the western most portion of the Bahamas,well...I hope people on the east coast of Florida have gotten themselves outta' town.

(7,153 posts)It was threatening to run to Orlando and then up the spine of FL.
But there are relatives in SC.
I WANT to have it make a horseshoe bend and go away.
