Do any of you in the northern half of the country have trouble sleeping through the night

during the 1-2 week transition from summer to fall? I do. Invariably I wake at 4 a.m. and stay awake no matter how sleepy I am.

Please comment if your Circadian Clock is messed up until the near end of September.

The results of decades in the grocery business. This is sleeping in to me as I used to get up at 2:30am each day. Now retired I am very happy to get up at 4 do 20+ miles on the exercise bike, enjoy my coffee and play on the iPad all before my Wife is up at 7:30ish.

It is a nice quiet time each day, that I value.

She has been waking up at 4 AM the last few weeks and has not been able to fall back asleep. It is wearing on her.

no matter what time I go to bed. I try not to look at the clock but I'll make a guess in my head and it's been between those times every time. IF I have too much to think about, I can't fall back to sleep. It's wearing on me too.

As busy as I am during the day and the bedroom window opened half way, I sleep better when it is cooler.

During the harsh Minnesota Winters, the thermostat is set at 63 so that sleep comes easier. I cannot sleep when it is hot.

although of course there are many reasons why people have trouble sleeping through the night, whether psychological, physiological, or both. Room temperature, aches and pains, restless legs, the sleep cycle changes that come with aging, worry, stress, you name it, there's another reason.

However, associations have been found between anxiety and having trouble falling asleep - and between depression and staying asleep.
