I had a 4-ft tall playpen, and the biggest kitten would take a flying leap at a wall, so that it was closer to the floor. Siblings would crawl over him, and finally Big Boy would scramble over.

Then there was the time I had a single kitten who couldn't wait to get out and play with the big cats. What fun! But after a while, the big cats would go hide in the playpen from him, to get some rest.

Kittens!

I'd want that one, or one equally adventurous. Alas, at this point in my life caring even for a potted plant is out of the question. I'm doing a lot of travelling, so can't be responsible for any other living creature. Someday the travel may come to an end, and then I'll go to my nearest animal shelter and adopt a cat or three, preferably old ones that are truly deserving of a new home.

My son understands that if he ever needs to put me in a home, be sure to find one with resident cats.
