Rescued 41 cattle finally home

This is the latest group of animals that we have rescued to our place (41 beautiful bovines). Our land has become tiny as more and more life walks to our home. But the cow has a small footprint naturally, eating a plant based diet. It is the husbandry of cattle that has become such an environmental nightmare. But these fortunate ones don’t expect much more than a safe place and fresh green grass for their food. They have that now for the rest of their lives at Elephant Nature Park.

One should never seen ribs and hip bones poking out like that on a cow. You could see how hungry they were by the fact that the moment they walked off the ramp of the truck, they started eating.

Thank goodness they are now safe.

My Aunt and Uncle had a farm and when I visited...I ran right to the cows who grazed in a pasture. A nice Afro-american man also worked on the farm and he showed me how to milk a cow and then he would squirt me in the face for fun . He was a wonderful friend and I still miss him.
