What is "The Perfect Call?"

Just as a side matter: What is the “perfect call?"

For me:

1. 5-7 mins
2. A good joke up top, a small bit of formalities, then straight to biz.
3. No awkward pauses
4. A mutual, unstated agreement that the talk has ended.
5. Absolutely no waiting for the other side to hang up.

For me:

3-5 minutes if just checking in; longer if good gossip is afoot
Someone I actually want to talk to
No awkward pauses

You definitely came up with the perfect description of the perfect call!

I hate the phone. I hate the phone. I hate the phone.

I want to kill the person who invented cell phones.
Even more, I want to kill the person who invented texting.

I used to love getting in my car and driving somewhere because I knew no one could call me. It was quiet, it was peaceful, I had time to myself.

Now the darned phone follows me everywhere I go.

I look forward to the time in my life where I can get rid of my cell phone, and people will be forced to call me on my landline to have an actual conversation. And I will check caller ID, and nine times out of 10, I won't answer the phone.

Otherwise he’d say it was a very, very, perfect, really perfect call, believe me, that I can tell you.
