(44 posts)2. Food insecurities?
We have a pug mix (Fred) who, as a puppy, was denied food until the other dogs all finished their food, leaving very little scraps. When my husband rescued Fred from his daughter, he became Fred's Savior. Now, many years later, the trauma Fred faced as a puppy still resignates with him. He'll always be insecure about his food, no matter how safe we try to make him feel. Loud noise are also traumatizing for him.

Dog trancing is the phenomenon when a dog walks slowly beneath something that lightly touches his back usually leaves or draperies and it puts him in a "trance-like" state.
Apparently no one knows why they do this
