What a week I've had!

Tuesday - My BFF of 40+ years was in a head-on collision and suffered a complete broken neck but without injury to his spinal cord. He can move his arms and legs and breathe and talk (and reason). He had surgery on Friday to stabilize his neck.

Wednesday - My neighbor called me at work to tell that the local police busted the door to my unit in the house where I live (including two locks) in an investigation that found no perp and no victim and refused to compensate for the damage. (I called my councilman and had a patrol car park outside my house until I got a new door.)

Last night (Saturday) - A dear friend who was also the owner of the auto repair shop I patronized died of a rare and complicated cancer that was Stage 4 when it was diagnosed.

My head is spinning.

You know it's bad when you look forward to going to work for escape.
