Have you ever wandered into the wrong forum?
Oh my gosh. I thought I was in the General Discussion forum, and it seemed like everyone had lost their minds.
Thread after thread, post after post, everyone was attacking everyone about all the candidates. I could not figure out what was going on!
Then I finally get to the bottom of the thread, and I see it.

Whew! I'm not going back in there anymore.

I guess I've never been in there before. That was downright scary. I think I'd have to get a hazmat suit to go back in during the primaries.
That, and chocolate. I'd need a lot of chocolate, (for comfort food,) and probably a blankie too!

I don't post a whole lot, I spend most of my time on here reading and learning. I honestly don't know what I would have done without DU. As crazy as this place can get, it keeps me sane in this insane world.
A year with the orange idiot, it really is a short, long time. But if today has been any indication, we are certainly headed in the right direction. Yay for us!

I don't exactly live in town. I'm kind of out in the sticks. I was actually planning on going in and buying all the ingredients today, but I didn't make it. Will probably do so next week. And I've got to remember to get a pretty bowl to put it in.
And then take a picture of it and finally learn how to post a picture on here!

Just hang out in the lounge. All the silly stuff in there makes me laugh a lot. I think they should call that the 'sanity' lounge.
I'm not kidding, I thought I was losing it when I went into the primaries forum and started reading all the posts.
I had been away from DU for about two hours. When I came back to it, I couldn't figure out what could have happened in two hours to make everybody start attacking each other. It was like the print version of a bunch of five year olds in a sandbox, having a really bad fight over one toy.
Thank goodness I finally realized I was in the wrong place. 
I wasn't sure if you made the cake and giving it a lip-smacking taste test yet.
There's a Community Help section and Photography group that gives step by step instructions and help for posting pictures. I store and share photos using Imgur, so far it's worked out nicely. There are other free images sites as well.
Thank you for the wonderful compliment. I will get membership again, but for the moment I need a break from jury duty. I don't mind helping DU out with a donation and jury duty, but sometimes jury duty gets a little too crazy. I've been mostly hanging out in the "Sanity" Lounge and viewing photos in the Photography group.
I know that you're not kidding about that forum. I've only posted there once to share the October 15th Democratic Debate since others were saying that they didn't get a chance to watch it. That forum isn't what I want to be a part of so I understand what you're saying.
I honestly had all the ingredients written down on my shopping list, and it was in my purse, ready to go. And then I didn't go. LOL. I will definitely make it next week.
Thank you for the heads up on where to go for help in posting pictures. I have wanted to learn to do that for a while, and I tried, and failed, but I'll try again. 
I could never do jury duty. I am grateful to all the volunteers, including yourself, who try to keep this place in order. I think I just look at things in a slightly tilted way, and I'm sure I would have people arguing with me all the time as to why I voted this way or that way. So I just don't volunteer myself. It's safer that way. 
I'll be hunting you down next week to show you the results of the punch bowl cake. I live alone, and I don't want to gain 10 pounds eating the entire thing all by myself. (Something I am sure I could do.) So I think I will wander around to all my neighbors homes and share with them.
We need to get this done, we need to get that done...and usually a small portion or none of it gets done.

Jury duty is a private affair. Nobody but you knows on how you vote on the alerted post. There are easy ones to decide on and others are not so easy. I always try to be fair, but there are times it's way over my head.
I can't wait to hear about your results. I hope that your neighbors help you out with the taste testing.

I'm quite fond of Buster Keaton. I'm very old school when it comes to film. I love silent movies, and I spend way too much time on TCM.
The first thing I do is to store the photo on Imgur. I select the 5th link down that reads BBCode on Imgur and copy that.
I then paste that BBCode into the DU link (right under the reply title) and it will look like this and click OK.
Next you're going to get something that looks like this mess in your message text. To clean up the html, I place my mouse pointer on the left between the html bracket and the "https". I backspace that to erase it. I then place my mouse pointer to the right and erase the "[/img]", that's right behind the "png".
After the html is cleaned up, it should look something like this. All you have to do is to preview it to make sure it shows up in your post. I'm not sure if other image sites are the exact same as Imgur, but I would imagine that it would be similar. Hope this helps.
And I am not seeing that first image you posted. So I'm already doing something wrong.
I don't know if I need the phone app to be able to use it. Can you tell me if you were doing this by phone or computer? And can you provide me with the link where you start. I have seen so many different options, and I'm not sure where to start. I'm also having a bad day, so trying to make my brain work right now is hard.
I will see if I can make the image much smaller. Ta-da! There it is, although it might be too small to read the print. Fingers crossed that this will show up for you.
I was doing this by computer. I only have a $50 Android phone, so if I need to anything elaborate, it needs to be done by computer.

It definitely helps to work with a rested mind, so this doesn't have to be done now. Get some R&R in and come back later when you're rested. I know exactly where you're coming from. I have fibromyalgia, so I know what it's like when the brain fog sits in and the brain doesn't want to work. It's alright, I completely understand. 
And then tomorrow I will figure it out. I already know what photo I want to post. It is silly and has nothing to do with the topic. But it's something that made me laugh when I saw it, so I thought it would be perfect for my first photo. So you will see me on here sometime tomorrow! Thank you for all of your help. It is so much appreciated!
