It's National STEM Day.

Hat tip to the interwebz for letting me know that.

I have a way to celebrate. Have you checked out the Quest TV channel where you live? In the DC area, it's on channel 9-3. After 9:00 p.m., it runs a lot of shows about engineering.

What's on?

Right now, it's "Modern Marvels," Mt. Rushmore. Then it's this worthless show about auctions. At 5:00 p.m., there's a show about manufacturing. It varies.

How to Celebrate STEM Day on November 8, 2019
From accomplished STEM role models, to talent and digital creators, to girls who may just be starting to explore STEM, we want to see what YOU have made using science, technology, engineering and math!
....

How You Can Participate
On National STEM Day (November 8), share YOUR object/creation and its connection to STEM on social media. Make sure to tag your post with #SheCanSTEM, #IMadeThis and @SheCanSTEM. Seeing real-life examples of women and girls contributing to the world of STEM will encourage other women and girls post their own photos and videos showcasing their STEM creations!

I got sent to a convention for packaging machinery manufacturers out in Las Vegas back in September. You won't believe how fascinating packaging machinery is to watch. We got to watch three-axis robots in operation. Here's an example. It's basically robot porn:
