How did that do that?
and then, I found out if I use Safari for the speed test, I get a better speed test than when I use Firefox.
it's about 180 with Safari and about 110 with FireFox.
Before I uninstalled Chrome, it was about 10-20 points lower.
Now, we don't always need 200, but I'm paying for 200, so I wanted to make sure I was
getting 200.
I have a 2009 Imac with 8gig of ram and a 1tb Sata drive.
220 is coming out of the modem, per Spectrum's tech thing that he plugged into the modem.
What the hell kind of bandwidth was Chrome using??? And why is Firefox slower??
Why is Safari faster?
because what else do you do on a Saturday night when husband's on a trip with the boys?

(26,403 posts)Safari is much more guarded than Firefox or Chrome w/r to Extensions.
So, as a "vanilla" brower, it tends to be faster.

(646 posts)but maybe I did over time and didn't realize it.
But i'll keep chrome uninstalled as my computer is surfing a little faster...
weird. I don't know that I really need it. huh.
