(21,055 posts)She will do what this cat does and stand there and Refuse to move.
But that second shutter was hilarious. A big FU fro the cat.

(30,717 posts)My cat did that, too, when she was still living. The dog "helps" as well. They both had to be shut out of the room if we wanted to make the bed or change the sheets. But they knew what we were doing and get us baleful looks after the bed was made.
I think it was because they both slept there, and felt they had a right to make a decision about how the bed was made.

(21,340 posts)The cat was just 6 months old. My roommate was obsessed with keeping the venetian blinds in perfectly even alignment at mid level for all 6 tall windows in a row on one wall of the dining room.
One day, kitty was playing with the cord of one blind when he triggered it to roll down, making a loud clattering sound. He scuttled under the table where I was doing homework.
Roommate rushed in from the kitchen in a huff and re- aligned the blind with the others. Kitty got over his fright and went back to investigate the cords. Boom! It happened again and kitty loved it. Tugged the next cord, then ran under the table when roommate rushed in again, chasing the kitty. They did not get along well even before this.
After the roommate straightened the blinds and retuned to the kitchen, kitty went to one end of the row of windows and strode down the row, swiping at each cord on the way. I burst out laughing as my roommate totally lost it while kitty hid between my legs to watch.
It doesnt take them long to discover their inner devil!

(21,340 posts)But cats are so good at discovering cause and effect in their play activities. They will repeat things to get the same effect that they first discover by accident. I am sure that's all that was happening, but it looked like the kitten was deliberately goading the roommate. Maybe he was toward the end when he realized he could get some attention and drama by tripping the blind cords. Maybe he just thought it was a fun game. But it was hysterical to watch.
That cat enjoyed being devilish. He was solid black, long-haired, part angora with luminous green eyes. I named him Merlin. Seemed to fit him well.
