Calorie count

Been thinking of buying some microwave popcorn so, me being me, I googled reviews to find the ‘best’.

I settled on “Pop Secret Movie Theater Butter Microwave Popcorn”,
so then I checked the ‘nutrition facts

Only 130 calories !

Then I looked closer, and saw it was 130 calories for 2 Tbsp !

When have you ever eaten only two tablespoons of popcorn?
(I tend to eat it by the fistful)

brown paper lunch bag
1/4 to 1/3 cup of regular popcorn
fold top of bag once or twice
microwave for 1 or 2 minutes (experiment, varies with machine)
add your own butter/oil/salt/spices

WAY cheaper and no bizarre chemicals

Just put about 1/4 cup of bulk popcorn kernels in a paper bag, fold the top tightly and microwave until the popping slows to 2-3 seconds between pops. You can add butter or whatever afterwards.

2 tbsp (1/8 cup) of kernels should be about 4 cups after popping, according to the experts. That should be at least a couple of fistfuls...

Pop your own. It's a healthful snack, but not that way.

On edit: what's a container? If it's a box with 4 packets, that's still over 1,100 calories. Still too much.
