for both.

And since I am very likely to attend holiday parties and/or social functions where I would go kilted there's a good chance I'll win a raffle or outright purchase a gift basket that contains them..

I have made these butter cookies my grandmother used to make with cocoa added. Pretty good. You could also drizzle a really good ganache over them.

Spicy Mexican Chocolate cookies, pecan brown sugar, lemon, cranberry pecan . All slice and bake so make up ahead and freeze to bake when needed. I am really obsessed with refrigerator cookies these days and my friends love those spicy chocolate cookies

sitting on my desk from my Secret Santa and/or from Corporate on our last day of work before Christmas. I will absolutely devour them; they are one of the few commercial cookies that I like (the others being Milano chocolate filled )

They are definitely my Achilles Heel when it comes down to holiday snacking.

My grandmother used to make homemade ones, with a cookie press and all. I have tried to duplicate hers, but I am no good with the press. I can draw circles with a pastry tube and a giant star tip.

Frequently after delivery, the Office Manager or Receptionist would call me to complain that they were not being shared. I ended up sending at least one tin to every department in each office. Some clients got as many as gross tins!

I loved these so much as a kid that I learned how to make my own Danish butter cookies because I would finish the tin within 48 hours. Got the recipe from a Home EC fundraising recipe book that I still have from middle school days.

I am not even a huge sweet eater, but I love mild sweets like Danish butter cookies, shortbread, Madeleines, homemade quick-breads, etc. I don't like anything sickeningly sweet. We always seem to have these around during the holidays and that is the only time I eat them.
