ability to play most videos. I have several Kindles that I use each day (I read A LOT, so I have 2 charging while reading a third), and this video glitch occurred in all of them at once.

Sometimes a video will just say, "Media could not be played," but sometimes the audio will play, but there will be no visuals at all, just a solid black box.

A (very) few videos do play, but I can't tell why they are exempted from the glitch.

Someone last week said to download a fast reboot all from Google Play. I don't know if that would help.

If you try it and it works, please DM me and let me know.

It's frustrating. Sometimes silent black, sometimes black with sound, sometimes they play. It only seems to happen with videos embedded into posts like at DU. No trouble playing videos at YouTube.

Your post is the first I've heard that it's not just me! I have not looked into a solution at all, so I'm afraid I can't shed any light on it.

What did you mean by "download a fast reboot all from Google Play"?
