(2,802 posts)I had a part time job in a potato chip factory a few hours a day in the afternoon for cleanup. The taste of a warm potato chip coming out of the fryer was amazing

(23,646 posts)Last time I put air in my tires it was free. Small stand at the gas station. You set the pressure number and pump the air into your tires.
However, yesterday I went to 3 different gas stations for air, the 1st was $1.75 for 5 minutes of air. I didn't have any change and my charge card didn't work. There was a 2nd unit there , but it was out of order.
So went to the next gas station, same type of unit, but it too was out of order.
Finally went to 3rd station, same type of unit, $1.75 for 5 minutes of air. Went into the market and got change. Inflated my tires.
PROGRESS!!!!!

(10,885 posts)because their gas station has free air. It's not that I can't afford to pay for it, but it goes against my grain to pay for air! It's the only freebie place around.

(58,642 posts)they'll check your tire pressure for free. For anybody, not just their customers. You just pull up and a guy comes out and does it for you. For an old fart like me, it's a godsend.

https://www.freeairpump.com/I've no idea how accurate it is.
Apparently, gas stations in CA and CT are required to provide free air (free with purchase in CA, I think).
