That face!!!! That tail!!!

I'd love to bring him home, but our 4 dogs would never accept him. Ours have too much of a "pack" mentality.

He lost some teeth chewing on the chain. We paid some large dental bills after we adopted him.

When we got him we could still see the chain marks around his neck.

It was obvious he'd never been in a house before. He decided the corner of our living room would be the best place to pee and poop.

He HATES the rain, probably because he was left outside with no shelter.

Now he's a big cuddle monster, never pees or poops in the house, even when it's raining, and has become an exceptionally expressive dog. He'd talk human if he could. But it took him a while to get beyond his rough start in life.

People adopt dogs, especially popular breeds like huskies, as some kind of fashion accessory but then they don't know how to care for them. Huskies and pitties, in their own ways, can be difficult dogs.

Our husky is about as obedient as a cat, he is an escape artist, and he has cratered our backyard, but I can't imagine putting him on a chain.

It's always astonishing to me how resilient dogs are.
