I had an emergency minor surgery yesterday.

Man, that hand sanitizer in the Doctor's office was very popular. Practically every time someone opened a door or shut it, they made a bee line for that dispenser.

A woman walked into the office with a portable oxygen generator, and initially I felt the urge to step away from her, but then realized it was silliness on my part.

I mean I was there to address a syndrome that could take place at any time, and probably this woman's been on that thing for some time, COPD or something.

When time came to discuss my condition and the treatment, I faced a huge battery of corona virus questions from the nurse. I had a minor sore throat the other day, but I'm sure I don't have the disease.

She told me it's been crazy. I imagine so.

i hope that you aren't in much pain from the surgery and have a quick recovery.

My Friday the 13th anomaly is that I've lost motor coordination in my left hand after I woke from a nap during the evening. I can't type with that hand, grasp objects, or tie my shoelaces. I'm inclined to believe that I slept in an awkward position and I'm going to borrow my brother's TENS unit to see if some electrical stimulation will help.

...but I'm fine.

Yours sounds worse than mine: I wish you a speedy recovery.

I'm kind of fond of the number 13, since it's a fibonacci number whose digits sum to a perfect square, sort of like the even more interesting fibbonacci number 144 which does the same thing but is a perfect square and also the product of two perfect squares, and, in fact, the product of three perfect squares.

If you're feeling bad, a little dorkiness always helps, I find.
