The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsI have used a grocery delivery service for several months, and I am glad that I have
I do weekly orders, I put one in today, with asked for delivery lunch time Thursday.
I placed an order last Thursday am, (March 13), the company slotted me in for delivery on Saturday pm (March 14). Things happened, and my groceries were delivered at 11pm Saturday night. I feel bad for the young couple who delivered it, cuz grocery store seems a lousy Saturday night date
Half of what I asked for was available. A spot of advice, if you know you are going to use a delivery company, order a few days ahead & earlier in the day delivery.
If anyone has ?, please DM me.

(18,621 posts)then a msg that they tried to deliver but I wasn't there. Hello? Doorbell? (house) I messaged them back and they said, OK, 425pm. At 405 pm, 'your order was delivered.'
No, it was not. And I messaged them and they are overwhelmed as there has been no response. Tried calling: 30 minute hold time.
I just messaged Amex to dispute the charge and it was reversed in hours.
I can understand a delay but I will NOT put up with a false delivery.
Disappointed but not mad.

(32,929 posts)I never found it on the grocery receipt, so I suspect it was a packing up the groceries error.
But since I am home, I do hear them drive up

(32,929 posts)The substitute items have been minor ones and I can work with them
My suggestion, if you use these, order 3/4 days in advance and for as early in the day delivery was possible.

(2,380 posts)is a great service if it's available in your area. They have a drop-it-at-the-door option if you want it and customers can make substitutions by text in real time. Most deliveries arrive within about an hour.
