from about the same time as this song - there was a song a friend played for me, i cannot never get it out of my head, similar style - the chorus has the words 'beware, brother beware...' but i cannot remember any more of the lyrics and I have over the years tried to Google to find it and no luck.

Any chance you know what it was?
