So excited! My daughter is getting her first doggie today!

Booked the appt at the shelter, so little to no people interaction.

Then she and the doggo will be training for him to be her service animal
She is blind on her left side and has other health issues

I'm so excited, can't imagine how she's feeling, she just turned 18 and is living on her own in town. This is the first time she will have something that's really hers 🥰

Pics to follow!
His name is Scout!!!

Those service dogs are so wonderful to make life easier an not have to rely on people all of the time.

I had a service dog once and he was wonderful. My big problem with that however was I had to purchase and train him myself because you can not just look at me and know I have a disability and I am not deaf. It would have cost me thousands of dollars to get him trained and living on a fixed income that was not going to be possible.

I am so glad she is getting help to have a helper.

She wanted to train him herself for the bonding experience too...as well as the cost.

She also wanted to save a shelter animal, as opposed to supporting the breeders...

We're here now!!!!!! I am going to meet him soon🥰🐕🐾

So he's going to need some training for learning how to be a real dog 😆
They bonded instantly and he's super smart and attentive

they found him lost in the middle of nevada somewhere

He doesn't know how to fetch! But he loves to give hugs

I left her and him at her place to have some adjusting, he was already laying all over her in the car on the way home... awwww...
