Patrick Stewart (Star Trek Picard) announces CBS All Access free month

Thought I'd post in case there are any Star Trek: Next Gen fans out there who would like to catch up on Star Trek: Picard before the finale.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/sir-patrick-stewart-announces-free-month-cbs-all-access-star-trek-picard-finale/

"Star Trek" star Sir Patrick Stewart announced Tuesday that fans can watch "Star Trek: Picard," and other CBS shows, for free on CBS All Access until April 23. The free offer comes as millions of Americans are stuck at home amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Ahead of the show's season finale on Twitter the actor wrote, "Our #StarTrekPicard season finale is Thursday, and starting today until 4/23, you can watch for free on @CBSAllAccess in the US with the code: GIFT. It's felt good to bring Picard back. I can't wait to reunite with our cast and crew for Season 2."

Since the code is "GIFT" sounds like no strings to me. pat_k Mar 2020 #2
Looks like you have to subscribe to get the free month. Bummer. C_U_L8R Mar 2020 #3

It's not a bad deal, we're just 'over-subscribed'. THX. C_U_L8R Mar 2020 #5

It sounds like one of those... 'we'll give you a free month and you'll automatically roll into a paid subscription". I hate that.

However, I already have CBS All Access, I can't verify to see if they give it to you without requesting credit card for billing if you don't cancel.

All the competing services at 5 to 10 a month are enough to make a person crazy. When I see the CBS All Access charge on my bill, I cringe a little. The only reason I subscribed in the first place was for Star Trek Discovery. Cancelled for awhile, and then let myself get pulled back in for Picard. A lot to pay for one show.
