The last time I was at the grocery store, I was looking at Sympathy cards.

My sister-in-law had lost her mother due to natural causes so I was going to select one for her. I did have a passing thought that if we don't nail this bell curve, this will be another item in the store that will experience shortages.

I looked at the cards to look for mom cards and there weren't any, which I thought was perplexing. Is it because they assume that moms will be the ones buying the cards? There were cards for Fathers, loved ones, Sister, Brother and three for departed pets. But no mom cards.

Kind of sad.
