I was sitting at the table, moping after sharing the latest bad news items with my wife.

I looked out the window and saw a bright red cardinal sitting on the porch railing.

Titling his head, looking around, he was beautiful.

2. I have a pair of cardinals who sit outside on my feeder every morning.

Sometimes it feels like they are looking right at me while I drink my tea in the morning. They always make me happy.

4. They say that during the Spanish Flu epidemic those that were in open-air hospital beds

had a higher success of survival. Was it because the beauty of nature calmed their fears allowing healing to take over?? I'm outside 6-8 hours a day right now and would not/could not comply with a stay in home order. Luckily I live on acreage.
