Woman Has Touching Reunion With Cat Who'd Been Missing For Years

She never stopped looking for him 😢

BY STEPHEN MESSENGER

Nearly four years ago, after a powerful earthquake struck central Italy, an older woman named Dora was among those displaced. But she lost more than just her home.

Amid the chaos and confusion following the disaster, Dora’s beloved cat went missing, never to be seen again.

That is, until recently.

Last week, a person close to Dora took to social media to announce that her long-lost cat had finally reappeared — bringing their many years apart to the happiest of ends.

“Our dear Dora has never stopped looking for him,” Mimma Bei, Dora's friend, wrote. “Who knows where he had have been for so long.”

[Here's a screenshot from the heartwarming video]

Here’s a video of that heartwarming reunion:

Fortunately, Dora’s cat appeared to be in good physical health despite his long absence. But to be together again, it's plain to see, both their hearts are now complete again, too.

A few years ago. I was sure he was dead. One day he turned up walking in the yard, skinny and dehydrated. I don’t know which of us was happier. Soon got back his health and weight. I guess he had been trapped in a storage unit. Don’t know how he survived. Cats are amazing. Now he’s at my back door, 2nd floor deck. He was neutered as a kitten and this makes 10 years I’ve been taking care of him. Never give up on kitties.

much skinnier and missing his collar.

Either someone took him and removed the collar, or perhaps it was hung up on something and he eventually managed to slip out of it and escape.

I was thrilled when my husband woke me up early one a.m. and plopped the cat down on me, after he opened the front door and found it waiting for us on our porch!

because he was all black with a white star on his chest. He disappeared
and I didn't see him for over a year. One day when an old friend dropped by
and we were out by the well house talking he mentioned old Badger. Just then,
Badge walked up through the trees, astounding us both. He was gone again
soon, never to return.
