A rose for DU...

Took this shot of a single rose blooming on a climbing rose bush while out for my 7 am walk with Snowy this morning.

It made me wish I could send a great big bouquet to each and every one of you.

For all of you at home alone.

For all of you on the front lines as docs, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other hospital personnel.

For all of you who are EMT's, fire fighters, police who are still on the job.

For all of you driving trucks, keeping the supply chain going.

For all of you working in stores, pharmacies, and other essential businesses where you are in contact with the public.

For all of you who have been laid off, or closed the doors of your small business, or had your gigs dry up, wondering how you are going to make rent or pay the mortgage or stock the refrigerator.

For all of you who have or will get the disease.

For all of you worried about friends and family with the disease.

For all of you who have lost someone during this pandemic--whether to Covid-19 or anything else--and are unable to gather in memory of your loved one to mourn together.

For all of you with plans that are on hold: weddings, graduations, family reunions, anniversary celebrations and once in a lifetime trips.

You are my family. Hold tight, hang on, and keep posting. We need each other.
