Recently, Rob Countu from Windsor, Connecticut, decided to embrace these instincts of his cats and built them two epic towers. The well-crafted structures provide them with both comfort and entertainment, and his little furballs are absolutely loving them.

(102,218 posts)They should sell those (and maybe make some for "pocket" pets as well).

(14,642 posts)I'm wondering how long it will stay so nice. I have cats. They're wonderful and I love them. But if they don't puke on the cool stuff (we thankfully only have 1 puker, but she's an overachiever), they leave fur all over it and, of course, scratch it and eat little pieces. Those little lights and flowers? Gone in an hour. We've seen several really cool cat walks and such, but my brain always goes to the "hell to clean" and/or "trashed in a day" place.
We bought some cheap-ish (<$50) cardboard scratchers and those are their favorite things. Go figure.

He could sell those things, different sizes and connectivity. He might even get an offer on "Shark Tank".

(60,010 posts)I have a fur cat who leaves hair behind with each step, it seems. He has almost angora rabbit type fur, incredibly soft, but god does he shed.

(14,642 posts)We have tile floors almost throughout. But mine chooses rugs, furniture, and oak windowsills. And, of course, the cardboard scratching thingies. Never the tile.

(11,686 posts)I have been searching all over for a cat tree that has ramps instead of steps and shelves not to high from each other and if there is a condo it needs to have two entrance/exits. I have an 8 year old disabled cat who loves to be high up and it is painful for her to jump up on current tree. I also have a 5 year old kitten ( he acts like one ) who likes to bother her sometimes and being trapped in a box is not good. I have found a couple close to that but one was $600 and the other $800. I am on a small fixed income.
