Who uses respironics?

There are respirator filters that are about the right size for a homemade facemask. From what I read, they would work better than papertowels as a filter. What I don't know is, how often should I replace the filter if I'm using it for an anti0coronavirus mask? Please listen to my process before responding:

The cloth facemask is washable, so it will go into the washing machine after each use. What I want to do is slip out the filter and give it a week's rest so that any of the virus has time to die off.

Would this allow me to use that filter several times?

I realize this is just everyone's best guess. But I'm willing to listen.

The virus is small enough to pass right through it. Use coffee filters instead; they are much less porous.
